How's the Crowdfunder going?
Good News!
So far we've received donations totalling £150 via our Crowdfunder campaign to raise funds to build the FlowState Ultra-Messy Paint Booth.
We've also received a £100 donation directly too! So, that's a total of £250 towards our target of £800!
What does this mean for the Ultra-Messy Paint Booth project?
The heater's been moved, but the power sockets haven't, owing to the way the original wiring had been run through the studio wall, coming out behind the the first of two double sockets that we'd hoped to relocate. Never mind! The heater would have been an issue if we couldn't move it, but the two double sockets can jolly well stay where they are and will be hidden behind the UMPB!
Keighley College's work experience co-ordinator, Betts, has given the studio the thumbs up on the health & safety risk assessment front, so full steam ahead on getting students to come in and help. The first batch of timber has landed and is stacked up ready to use, the moment Keighley College dispatches those students!
Please take a look at our blog post Launching the FlowState Ultra Messy Paint Booth and Helping Unleash Creativity to learn about the thinking behind the Ultra-Messy Paint Booth, which forms a key component of the new FlowState - Find Yours! creative discovery programme for people of all ages.
We're going to need a lot more timber, hardboard panels and other materials to complete the booth, because it will be a squillion times better than what we have currently. It will be fully enclosed, taller and wider for greater 'flingability'.

Sooooo, if you can spare a few quid, please, we'd really appreciate it. Every small donation will help to make this wonderful idea a much needed reality for Keighley, and the wider Airedale and Worth Valley areas - and beyond if Michytee gets her way, which she probably will, because ever since she started her Masters degree course with the wonderful MakeHappen Institute great things are, well, happening! Unsurprisingly ;-)
There are many other ways you can support FlowState - Find Yours! and the UMPB, which is now turning into a truly fab community art project!
Here's a few:
Sign up as a Free Supporter of FlowState - Find Yours! on our Patreon page FlowState - Find Yours! | Creative Discovery activities for mental health and wellbeing | Patreon. There will be exclusive paid for content landing as soon as the UMPB build is underway, giving insights into the design and build process, amongst other useful content.
Volunteer for a couple of hours to lend a hand with the UMPB build or decoration - get in touch via the Contact form on our homepage (click the 'Find my FlowState button' to go straight to it), or give us a call on 01535 282678.
Share our social media posts on Facebook and Instagram with your friends and followers.
Clear out your shed, garage or understairs cupboard of part-used tins of emulsion, satin or gloss paint, which we'll happily use to decorate the outside of the UMPB or use to fling about inside it! Any colour! All colours!
All our supporters will get early access to try out the UMPB as soon as it is finished, before it is open to the public!
